It's good to know about this product. I've been using maltodextrin for many years now and now I'm wondering whether it's causing me resistance in getting leaner (although I am a hard gainer).

Maltodextrin has its pros and cons like anything. If you care only about gaining weight (i.e. dirty bulking), then it's just fine. It doesn't really fit into a clean bulk, and definitely not a cut.
I think by adding some peanut butter or another fat source into your standard maltodextrin-laden gainer, it would be a little better. Better still would be the creation of a gainer using something like oats, whey, eggs, and peanut butter. My money says the latter option would also be much tastier.

I suppose it doesn't hurt to drink it throughout the day (as I do), to keep the blood sugar level more constant. Also, if you're eating (quality, hopefully) fats throughout the day, then it may take hours for them to fully empty the stomach, so they would effectively lower the glycemic index of the combination, whether you drink some of the maltodextrin with the fats or some time after.
My problem with oats and eggs is that they tend to upset my stomach.
I'll probably try looking around for an alternate carb source such as Lean Mass Complex to give that a try, see if it makes any difference in my composition after a few months, and note how well I tolerate it.
I'm a fairly active person anyway, so there are many factors to consider when planning for a long-term carb source. (As an aside, one of my staples is whole wheat roti, which has healthier ingredients than commercial whole wheat breads.)

This is, in fact, the same product as Lean Mass Matrix. Although the name is different, the ingredient profile is exactly the same.
