Nutritional Profile

Maybe this is just me, but for MRPs/Protein/Energy Bars, etc., the ingredients and nutritional profile has a large bearing on how likely I am to use a product again and how highly I rate the product in comparison to others. Because of this, I think it might be helpful to have a Nutrition/Ingredient rating added to the current Strength/Muscle Gain/Taste,etc ratings. I realize this would mean products before the change would have no ratings there, but newer reviews would have them.

That's a good idea, which I'll be considering.

One possible problem I see is that since it would be rateable by any contributor, some people will naturally be more ignorant about the quality of the ingredients/profile than others, thus the overall rating (for this one criterion) would suffer.

This would be less of a problem if readers of this site knew to trust certain people such as you to give good ratings in this area.

Good point, I hadn't thought about that - I see people hate on Muscle Milk on the forums daily because it has "too much fat." Of course, if they provide an explanation for the low rating then you can judge for yourself; just because a bar contains two grams of soy protein may make it an estrogen-inducing, useless product to some doesn't mean everyone will shun it.

I've added an "Ingredient profile" criterion that you can now rate on, for supplements in any category.

Great addition. More than half the time I buy my products based on profile alone, so this is something I surely want to share in my reviews.
But like all measures of review it is very subjective what some see as quality ingredients, for example that "WPI>WPC", o'rly?!?

Thanks (and thank you soundcheck129 for the suggestion). Subjectivity is fine, since it's the overall rating that should converge to the "truth", with a sufficient number of reviews.
